Outdoor Heated Cat Bed
Read This before Buying
Before purchasing an outdoor heated cat bed there are a few things you need to consider and I will try to outline a few important points here. It is important to figure out where the bed is going to be located as it will require a power source.
- The first thing to consider is that the bed needs to be made of PVC. This is to ensure that it does not retain any moisture as being outside it is likely to become wet and if it did so and remained wet the cat would simply not lie on it.
- Outdoor heated cat beds tend to come in a variety of sizes so if you have more than one cat make sure the bed can accommodate them all. By laying together cats maintain body heat naturally and the running costs of one mat will be less than two or three.
- Ensure that the cable is armoured and completely chew proof, as the last thing you want to find in the morning is fried cat!
- Choose an outdoor heated cat bed that only heats up the area under the cat as this makes the unit much more efficient as it is not heating up the entire surface of the bed.
An outdoor heated cat bed can also help to ease the guilt of pet owners who for whatever reason cannot have their pets indoors. For many years pet lovers who may have suffered from allergies felt guilty about having their pets outside. Now you can sleep easy knowing that your little friend is warm and comfortable on his heated bed.
